Obituary
Rena Mae Buchholz age 88 of St. Louis, Michigan died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM. will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present frim 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Rena was born in Pleasant Valley, Michigan on November 22, 1919 the daughter of John S. and Mary ( Reyer ) Hall. She was a life long resident of St. Louis, MI St. Louis High School with the class of 1937. Rena married Norman "Bud" W. Buchholz on November 15, 1940. He passed away on November 11, 1982. Rena worked for GTE as an operator for 20 years before retiring in 1984. She volunteered at the St. Louis Senior Center and the American Red Cross. Rena enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, country music and spending time with her family. Rena was a member of United Methodist Church of St. Louis, MI.

She is survived by son Robert J. & Carol Buchholz of St. Louis, MI, daughter Julie A. Winkelstern & Ernie Toplis of Ft. Myers, FL, son John D. Buchholz of Lansing, MI, 3 grandchildren; Brett & Laura Buchholz of Commerce Township, MI, Dennis W. Buchholz of West Bloomfield, MI, Ian Winkelstern of Ann Arbor, MI, 1 great grandchildren Alyzandra Hoberg, and 1 brother Richard Hall of St. Louis, MI. She is predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters; Ruth & Jean & 2 brothers; Wesley & Elwood.

Memorials may be made to Gratiot County Comminsion on Aging. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
