Virginia Mae Buchholz was born in Alma, Michigan on May 6, 1918 the daughter of John and Agnes ( Barker ) Buchholz. She resided most of her life in Mid-Michigan and the St. Louis area and graduated from St. Louis High School. Virginia was first married to John Blair and then Lewis Howard. Both husbands preceded her in death.

Virginia was the owner and manager of Blair Trailer Sales. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of St. Louis, as well as the Elks Club #1400 and volunteered at the Senior Center.

Mrs. Howard, age 90, of St. Louis, Michigan died May 22, 2008 at Schnepps Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral: Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI. Pastor Terri Bentley officiated.

She was survived by her granddaughter Tammy Hoffman & Joe Fiolek of Mt. Pleasant, MI, grandson Robert & Carole Hoffman of Crystal Falls, MI, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and special friend Mary "Aggie" Starry of St. Louis, MI.

She was predeceased by her parents, two husbands, daughter Sharon Hyde, and brother Norman "Bud" Buchholz.
