Mrs. Rosetta Boyer, 87, of Franklin RD 1, died at 4:30 pm Tuesday at her home, Franklin RD 1, after a lingering illness. She was born Oct. 29, 1870 at Cherrytree, daughter of James and Margaret Buchanan.
She lived in the Rocky Grove and Franklin area most of her life, and at 158 Elm Street, Rocky Grove before moving to Franklin RD1. She was a member of the Fox Street Church of God in Rocky Grove.
On Feb. 17, 1902, she married Dennis Boyer, who died in June 1947.
Surviving are four sons, Willis, of Jacksonville, FL; Howard, of Depew, NY; Donald, of Franklin; and Walter, at home; a brother, Eugene Buchanan, of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in the Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
