|Death: ||Aug., 1905|
I am writing this obit from the actual one that appeared in the Clarks Hill News on Aug 18, 1905. I was given a lot of old papers. Rosy Bryant, aged 21 years, wife of Guy D. Bryant, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wright Maiden died at her home in Danville, ILL, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, consumption causing her death. The remains were brought to this place Saturday and the funeral was preached at the Christian Church by Rev. E.E. Kuhn. Interment was made in the Union cemetery south of Clarks Hill. Four years ago in 1901 she was united in marriage to Guy D. Bryant. She left shortly afterwards for Danville, where they have since resided. Two children were born to this union, both boys, the younger being only ten weeks old. Mrs. Bryant was a loving mother ,a faithful wife and a sincere friend, and her untimely departure has cast a deep gloom of sorrow over the many relatives and friends.
She was the daughter of Wright Maiden and Martha Jane "Mattie" Lewellen.
