Edith L. Alexander, 98, of Arthur died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 16, 2014) at the Arthur Home.
She was born on December 4, 1915 at Enterprise, the daughter of William R. and Goldie A. Plummer Bruns. She married Fred V. Alexander on March 1, 1936 in Cerro Gordo. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1963. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Larry W. Alexander, Ronald F. Alexander and Robert A. Alexander; brothers, Everett, Ivan, Billy and Bobby Bruns and a sister, Irene Hickman.
She is survived by a son, Gerald V. (Joyce) Alexander; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and sister-in-law, Linda Bruns.
She worked as a bookkeeper for a lumber yard in Arthur for 25 years.
