He served his country in the United States Navy, enlisting on July 8, 1941. He was assigned to the USS Saratogaad the "Lucky Biloxi" and saw action in the Pacific theatre.
He is survived by two daughters, two sons-in-law, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil Bryant and Mary Elizabeth (Rushing) Brumley, his wife Emily P. (Eberle) Brumley, son Bill V. Brumley, Jr. and sisters Jo Lee Tipton and Dennis Faye Miller.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Ada Oklahoma. Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
