Cathey S. Bode, age 60 of Bonifay, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at her home. Cathey was born July 21, 1951 in Great Bend, Kansas to the late, Jake and June (Ewalt) Brumley and was very proud of her Native American heritage. A resident of Washington County for the past eleven years, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was very active in service clubs in the area. She was an artist and loved animals. Survivors include; her husband, Charlie Bode of Bonifay; two sons, Charles A. Bode II of Bonifay and Maximillion Gene Bode of Edmond, Oklahoma; two brothers, Steven Ray Brumley of Oklahoma City and George Brumley of Eufaula, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mary Brumley of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Brumley of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Denna Rae Beard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren. Memorialization will be by cremation and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
