William Bruce & Alice Smith.
She married Henry E. Appling, 1897.

Obituary
IN PLYMOUTH, Dec. 5, - Mrs. Cora M. (Bruce) Appling, 90, of 52 Russell St.,
and longtime resident of East Carver, died last Friday at a local nursing
home after a long illness.
A native of Nova Scotia, Cana., Mrs. Appling was the widow of Henry E.
Appling. She had lived in the Appling family home on Wenham St., East
Carver for many years.
She was a former member of the North Carver Lakenham Grange and of the
North Carver Congregational Church Women's Society.
Mrs. Appling is survived by a son, Harry E. Appling of Brockton, a daughter,
Mrs. Alice N. Nickerson of Plymouth, and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Norman B. Cawley, pastor emeritus of the North Carver Congregational
Church, officiated at the funeral service at a Middleboro funeral home last Sunday
afternoon. Burial followed in Lakenham Cemetery.
