out a homestead. His claim was next to t hat of a young woman named
Elna May Barhite, who had come to Sheridan County with her brothers but
had her own homestead.
On 17 May 1890 Arthur and Elna were married.
They had five children : Ray Arthur; Ralph Wellesley; Elna May; Bryan
Barhite; and Harvey Eber.
Arthur had a heart attack while walking from his barn to the house and died on 9 September 1910. His wife, Elna, died on 28 November 1941.
