He was the Husband of THEODOSHIA WORSHAM BROWN. He was the son of JAMES VALENTINE (TINE) BROWN and ELLEN CASE BROWN, both buried in Madison Co., NC.

SWAN JEFFERSON BROWN, 75, died at his home, 674 Clinchfield Street, Beaumont, at 11:05 Wednesday night. He was a native of Madison County, NC, and had resided in Spartanburg for the past 37 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. LOIS McABEE, Mrs. OTIS JONES and Mrs. LOLA REVIS, all of Spartanburg; one son, NOEL BROWN of Spartanburg; two sisters, Mrs. MAGGIE PLEMMONS of Spartanburg and Mrs. EMMIE WOODY of California; two brothers, DAVE of Greenville and WILL of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today at 5:30 p.m. at Beaumont Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. DEWEY WELCHEL and the Rev. HOWARD HAYNES. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park. The body is at the home and will be placed in the church at 4:30 p.m. The J. F. Floyd Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. (note - He was the husband of THEODOSIA WORSHAM BROWN.)

JONES (OTIS BROWN JONES, SWAN'S daughter.) Undertaker was listed as J. F. Floyd and the doctor was listed as W. H. CHAPMAN. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park on May 12, 1950.
