LaFAYETTE Bernice Beatrice Dobson Brown, 87, passed away at her home on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012.She was a lifelong resident of LaFayette, Ga., and a member of Second Baptist Church in LaFayette, Ga.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Homer and Emma Brock Dobson; husband, Willard James Brown; brothers, Leroy, Oliver, and Johnny Dobson; sister, Doris Scoggins.Survived by sons, Ron Brown, Donny (Therese) Brown; grandchildren David, Samantha, Matthew, Ryan, and Daniel Brown; special sister, Virginia (Sug) Dobson; brother, Bill (Sammie) Dobson; and many nieces and nephews.Thank you to her church family at Second Baptist for the help with caregiving during the past couple of months. Special thanks to Linda Gilreath, Barbara Jones, Judy Shirley, and Louise Underwood.Bernice was a very special lady who cherished her family and loved doing for others.Graveside services are today at 3 p.m., service conducted by Eddie Rushing and Pastor Mike Peterson.Pallbearers: Samantha Brown, David Brown, Johnny Scoggins, Greg Dixon, Jeff Dixon, and Brian Lyles.Family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home.
