Sullivan, Fred Leon Brown "Brownie", 74 of Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor. He was born in Sullivan on June 5, 1938 to Fred and Nora (Robins) Brown. The 1956 graduate of Carlisle was a machinist and a dairy farmer; he enjoyed playing pool, loved Pedro, his dog and going to the Moose Lodge where he was a Trustee. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife Rena Faye Yerkes Brown, son Bradley Leon Brown, and a brother Norman A. Brown. Survivors include his Son Brian L. (Darlene) Brown of Sullivan, Step daughter Robin Al-Soffie of Lafayette, grandchildren Kristopher Hibbard, Logan Brown, Tabitha Hibbard- Hernandez (Miguel), and five great grandchildren. Services will be at the gravesite, 10 am at the Center Ridge Cemetery on Friday August 31, 2012 with Billy J. Gott officiating. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
