Dovie Christine Yelton, 74, of rural Casey died at 7:05 p.m. Monday, March 31, 1997 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hazel Dell Church of Christ. Burial will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Markwell and Sons Funeral Home in Casey.
She was born January 1, 1923, in Greenup to Lewis Arval and Ruth Townsend Brown. She married Orville F. Yelton in 1946; he survives.
Other survivors include one son, Donald Yelton of Casey, and two grandchildren, Jason Yelton and Aaron Ghast.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Mrs. Yelton was a former clerk at Goodman’s Variety Store in Greenup. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
