DEANE W. BROWN
PRICE- Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Price Stake Center for Deane Wakley Brown, 60, of Price, who died of a heart attack Saturday, Jan. 31, 1976. He was stricken with the heart attack while operating an auto in Provo at 700 N. 700 E. He has a son living in Provo.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1915 at Pocatello, Ida., to Fred William and Ida Belva Wakley Brown. He married Dorothy Jorgensen on April 14, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a music teacher for 29 years at Mont Harmon Jurnior High School, Price. He graduated magna cum laude from BYU in 1942. He received a M.A. degree from BYU in 1959.
He was active in the LDS Church and member of the National Educators Association, UEA, Music Educators National Conference and Utah Music Educators Association. He also was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow, three sons and a daughter, D. David Brown, Los Altos Hills, Calif., Jared F. Brown, Layton; George K. Brown, Provo, and Delores Brown on an LDS mission in Dusseldorf, Germany; two grandchildren; two brothers and a sister; Virgil Brown, Fresno, Calif.; Dr. Paul Brown, Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Jackson, Las Vegas.
Friends call at Fausett Mortuary, Price, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at the church an hour before services. Burial will be in Price City Cemetery.
