Adilene Brown went to be with the Lord after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Douglas County, Missouri, to Myrtle and Charles Loyd.

She met and married Carlyle Brown, the love of her life, and together they moved to Fresno California in 1945.

Adilene worked as a seamstress for over 40 years and was a longtime member of The People's Church.

Adilene will be remembered for her great love for her family and her strong faith in the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Orchard Park Assisted Living and the staff of Optimal Hospice for the compassion and loving care they showed while Adilene was in their care.

She is predeceased by Carlyle, Sr., her loving husband of 58 years.

Adilene is survived by her son Carlyle, Jr. and his wife Clara, of San Diego; her daughters, Marilyn of Fresno, Linda and her husband Paul of Petaluma; granddaughter, Heather Lynn Douglas; and great granddaughters, Amethyst and Ruby.

A Memorial Service will be held in the north lobby Chapel of The People's Church on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the People's Church, Fresno Ca.
