Hazleton Standard Speaker; Monday, January 22, 1990:
Mrs. Gertrude E. Brandau, 76, a resident of the Klingerman Nursing Center, Orangeville, Columbia County, died at that facility where she had been a guest the past year. She was born in Bloomsburg, daughter of the late William W. and Mertie (Savits) Brown. She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Stewart Brandau, in 1970; and a sister, Mae Boudman. She was the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, 426 W. Broad St., Hazleton. The Rev. William W. Fairchild, pastor of Conyngham Christ Lutheran Church, will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Vine Street Cemetery.
