June Evelyn Miller was born on October 31, 1924, in Ansonia, Darke County, Ohio. As a child, she moved to a farm in York Township with her parents where she was able to walk to school. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1942 and worked for a while off of the farm at a store in Dayton, Ohio. On February 25, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, she married twenty-six year old Cleatus Adam Brown, son of Wesley J. Brown and Judy Belle Conaway, who had been fostered by her family from the time he was eleven years old. To them were born five children: Joyce Annette, Janet (who died at birth), Janice Kay, James Nelson, and John Wesley. They moved to Pine Castle, Florida, with June's parents for a while, then returned to Dayton, Ohio. In the mid-1970's, they moved to Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio, bringing with them their granddaughter Natalie whom they were raising at the time. They later moved to Englewood and Bellbrook, Ohio, where she died on August 21, 2010. She loved cats and birds and a good game of Chinese Checkers. She was a wonderful cook and an enthusiastic and dedicated supporter of her children and grandchildren. With everything she did, she let us know that she loved us dearly.
