He was the son of Lincoln and Lucy (Sargent) Brown. On Feb 7, 1948, he married Florence Malin, who survives.
Also surviving are son, Ralph (Terrie), Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Melissa Yates, Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are a sister, Betty Ary; and a son-in-law, Bill Wenz.
He was a 1943 graduate of the former Jackson High School, Union City, and attended Ohio State University. He retired as an electrical engineer from Fram Corporation, Greenville. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the USS Franklin CV-13 which was the most decorated ship of WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post 345, Fort Recovery, Fram Retirees, Greenville, St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, and it's Holy Name Society. He also attended yearly reunions of the USS Franklin CV-13 and was a avid fisherman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, with the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating.
