Arbaham Charles Brown, 75, retired carpenter and former resident of 23 West Shields Street, died at 11:57 p.m. Friday in the home of his brother, James Brown in Central City. He had been ill six months.
Born Jan 27, 1877 in Licking County, he was the son of Jacob T. and Mildred (Bradley) Brown. He was married in October, 1903, to Fern Morgan who prededed him in death April 24, 1944.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown were the parents of four children. Surviving are two sons and one daughter: William E. Brown of Tucson Ariz., Roland C. Brown and Mrs. J.L. Singilton, both of Newark; also eight grandchildren; three brothers, James Brown of Central City, Joseph and Oscar Brown, both of Newark; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Snelling, southeast of Newark; Mrs. Bert George of Gratiot and Mrs. Noah Skinner of Newark. A son, one brother and two sisters are deceased.
Mr. Brown was a member of the East Main Street Methodist Church.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Householder Funeral Home and burial will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery. The Rev. Claude P. Myers will conduct the service. The body is at the funeral home.
