Separate Rites for Mr. and Mrs. Ames, Killed in Car Crash
The body of Mrs. Ruth (Brown) Ames, 58, who was killed in an automobile accident on highway 71 south of Maryville, Mo., Sunday morning, will be brought to the Rupp mortuary in St. Joseph tomorrow morning. Mrs. Ames' husband, Floyd L. Ames, 74, was also killed in the crash, which also claimed the life of a third person, Mrs. Veryl Jean Egan, 37, of near Parkville, Mo.
Mrs. Ames was born at Harrisonville, Mo., and lived in St. Joseph until she moved to Sheridan, Mo., in 1961. She is survived by two daughers, Mrs. Doris Lonjers of St. Joseph and Mrs. Flora Bahntge (?) of Lakin, Kan., and a brother, Charles L. Mullins of Concordia, Kan.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. George Price a the Rupp chapel Wednesday at 10. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows public cemetery here.
The body of Mr. Ames is at the Atchison funeral home in Maryville. Services will held at 2 Wednesday afternoon at Sheridan. Burial will also be at Sheridan.
