Patricia Brown

Las Vegas, NV/Monroe, UT

Patricia Jean Bell Brown, 87, passed peacefully on December 20, 2016 in Clearfield, UT, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Monroe, UT on June 16, 1929 to Calvert and Reva Forbush Bell. In her youth Pat was an avid horse rider and loved to speed around town on her favorite horse, Comet.

Pat married her handsome returned WWII soldier, Jack C Brown. Their marriage was solemnized on April 21, 1950 in the Manti Temple. They had a wonderful 65 year romance and as she always said, ‘Her Johnny could do anything’. Jack preceded her in death, October 23, 2012.

Pat was active in the LDS Church and served in many capacities, one of which was Relief Society president; a role in which she served several times.

She loved cooking and loved to share her creations with others. Pat would often make large batches of cinnamon or dinner rolls and take them to friends or those in need. She had a very generous nature and was always concerned with the welfare of others.

With a ready smile on her face and a happy countenance, her favorite time of the year was Christmas, and both she and Dad spent lots of time making Christmas special for everyone. Pat had a wonderful talent for floral arranging and decorating and her arrangements often adorned her local ward chapel.

Pat was from pioneer stock and always expected her family to live up to that tradition. In her later years she was a member of the DUP which made her very happy. Although she loved her family dearly, she was looking forward to rejoining her eternal sweet heart.

She is survived her children, Debbie (Ron), Wendy (Scott), Todd (Joni), Mitch (LeNora); grandchildren: Jayson, Devin (Lindsey), Jeff (Janica), Jordan (Kari), Lauren, Josh, Jaden, Treston, Brandon, Andrew (Lindsey), Joshua, Kaitlin; great-grandchildren: Izaya, Jannalynn, Payton, Daniel, Luke, Jack, Kaidan; sister in-law, Alene Tuft Bell Peterson.

She was also preceded by her parents and son Jeffery "Taffy".

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 S 100 W in Richfield, UT, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
