Veleria Ruby Brown, age 46, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
Veleria was born in Macon, GA to Henry Vernon Brown and Veronica Willene Brown. She was a very outgoing person who could light up any room with her smile and although she could not walk or talk, she had a way of communicating with children. She loved music and especially country and gospel. She went to the Cerebral Palsy Center of Macon for 18 years and then attended ABAC in Tifton for 8 years studying Early Childhood Development.
She was preceded in death by her father Henry Vernon Brown and her brother Ollis Newton Brown.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home in Eastman with burial to follow in Giddens-Harrell Cemetery also in Eastman with Pastor Bruce Floyd officiating. The family will greet friends at Crest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
