Mary Ann Brown, age 82, passed away at Regency Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center on October 9, 2012.

Mary was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on February 6, 1930, to Harold and Susan Shinn. Mary worked at Brandies for several years in the 1960s and later began to sell Stanley Products until she branched out to sell Tupperware, which Mary received a lot of bonuses and was able to have her own team of girls under her. After retirement she moved to Greenfield, Iowa, which her and Loren (Tuff) served Meals on Wheels for a lot of years and doing benefit work for the town of Greenfield. After several years Mary and Loren Moved back to Council Bluffs to finish out their retirement and be with their children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren E. Brown, Sr., (Tuff); brothers, Keith, Robert and Ted Shinn; and sons-in-law David L. Snyder and James L. Worley III; her mother and fathers in-law, Harry and Eva Brown; brothers, Ted, Tom, Robert and Keith.

Survivors include son, Loren Brown, Jr., (Bud) and wife, Ruth Ann, of Brighton, Ill.; daughter, Evon McKim and husband, Ray, Kathy Snyder, Steven Brown, Jackie Kruse and husband, Tom, Terri Merchen, all of Council Bluffs, Howard Bebout, of Layton, Utah and Patty Worley, of Montgomery, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Ridout, of Lorimor, Iowa.
