Jason served as a Captain & Pilot on B-25D Mitchell (#41-30573), 2nd Bomber Squadron, 22nd Bomber Group, U.S. Army during World War II.
He resided in Middlesex County, Massachusetts and was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard prior to the war.
He requested, and received, a transfer into full time Army Air Corps service on November 24, 1940, prior to the war. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as a Foremen and also as Single, without dependents.
Jason died in the "Line Of Duty" when his B-25 was involved in a mid-air collision with another B-25 over the Dohudura airfield, New Guinea, during formation training and the twin engined medium bomber tumbled to earth, claiming the lives of all seven aboard.
The other B-25 landed without casualties.
