Carl Brostrom, 74, 1121 15th Ave. E., Menomonie, died Monday morning at Myrtle Werth Medical Center.
He was born February 24, 1906 in the Town of Dunn to Charles and O. and Maude (Jennings) Brostrom. He married Doris Decker of the Town of Dunn on June 16, 1931, in Eau Claire.
He was a stonecutter in Dunnville Quarry, a carpenter, a roofer and he farmed near Ridgeland. He retired and moved to Menomonie in 1966.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jewel (Nancy) Wilson, Menomonie; two sons, Virgil, Phoenix, Arizona and Charles Punxsutawney, New Jersey; six grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence, Menomonie; two sisters, Mrs. Marian Nelson, Burlington and Mrs. Eunice Wold, Menomonie.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, August 6) at 1:30 p.m. at the Goodrich Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Robert Schwandt officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Downsville.
