Geraldine Diamond {Brooks} Aldridge passed peacefully from this life at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
Geraldine was the youngest of seven children who have all preceded her in death. Geraldine moved to Edmond in 2006, to live close to her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of the Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville and the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond.
Geraldine graduated from Southwest Baptist College in 1941, and Drury College in Springfield in 1961. She began her teaching career in the Gaddis School in 1937. She taught other rural schools, Exeter and Southwest retiring in 1981, after 35 years. Third grade was her favorite. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home, visiting kids and grandkids, working in the garden and playing cards. Geraldine also enjoyed people and cooking meals especially homemade bread. Her grandchildren loved her turkey dressing. They also loved the stories she told them and books she read. She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association.
Surviving her are two daughters, two granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren.
