Mrs. Susie Elizabeth Brooks Alford, 95, of Brunswick, Ga., died March 28, 2013, at Sears Manor Nursing Home.

She was a faithful, long-standing member of Berean Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She loved the Lord and dedicated her life in service to Him.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 5, 2013, at Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. James C. Edwards is the pastor. The Pastor Romel Charles will officiate.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brunswick, Ga.

The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory eight children: Nathaniel (Eva) Alford Jr. of Brunswick; Dorothy (Herbert) Cuthbert of Atlanta; Arthur (Faye) Alford of Brunswick; Patricia (Johnny) Anthony of Atlanta; Francis (Charles) Anthony of Atlanta; Betty (Johnny) Bellman of Decatur, Ala., James (Sandra) Alford of Brunswick; and Joel (Sandra) Alford of Brunswick.

In addition, she leaves fifty-two grandchildren, ninety-four great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Hall, Jones and Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
