Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Charley BROOKS died aged 27 years; buried 11 MAY 1883 in Section C, Lot 413 - Abraham ODOM. [Galer's source was the sexton's card file (an index). The original burial record in the sexton's ledger book also mentions this individual was born in Georgia, died of consumption (i.e. tuberculosis), and was buried as a resident of Columbus, Georgia (so evidently died there).]

Others reported to be buried in Section C, Lot 413, include - unmarked: Florence BROOKS (buried 30 OCT 1880, aged not reported); and - marked: Francis Marion BROOKS (1818-1889).
