Betty J. Brookover, 78, of Zanesville, passed away at 10:51 am Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center ER. She was born January 8, 1934 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Louis and June Camp Ross. She was formerly employed by Essex Wire (United Technology) and was a charter member and first Madam President of the Zanesville Eagles Ladies Auxilary. She is survived by sons Danny (Sally) Brookover of Dresden, Ronald (Norma) Brookover and James (Peggy) Brookover both of Zanesville, brother Chuck Ross of South Zanesville, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Edward R. Brookover who passed away October 29, 2002, brothers Howard, Bill and Donnie Ross and sister Mary Lorentz. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday, February 20, 2012 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. John Edwards officiating.
