He was born Dec. 23, 1947, to Thomas O. and Mayo Whitworth Bronston. Pat, as he was known to family and friends, was raised near Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1966. He left to serve two tours in Vietnam as a marine before completing his military career in the Air Force.
He met and married his wife Janet Miller at Offutt AFB, Neb., in 1977. They served together as computer specialists at Gunter AFS, Alabama and Tinker AFB in Oklahoma before his retirement in 1987.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping near Kaw Lake, and spending peaceful days at home.
Charles is survived by his wife Janet; mother; sisters, Betty Self of Birch Tree, Mo., and Barbara White of Ponca City; as well as his son, Thomas Lyndal Bronston; daughter, Christine Denise Bronston; and three grandchildren, Solomon Muniz, Rose & Lyndsey Bronston.
He is preceded in death by his father and older brother, Lyndal Bronston.
