Leslie B. (Brode) Urwiler, 58, Rockland Township, died July 22, 2008, in Manor Care, Salisbury Township, where she was a patient for one week.
She was the wife of F. Richard Urwiler. They were married Dec. 4, 1971.
Born July 23, 1949, in Sumneytown, Montgomery County, she was a daughter of Katherine D. (Dibbs) Brode, Blue Bell, Montgomery County, and the late J. Russell Brode.
A 1967 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High Schoo, she was a homemaker and volunteered for more than 13 years as a teacher's aide at District-Topton Elementary.
Survivors include her husband, daughter Leigh (Urwiler) Lyons, Rockland Township; stepdaughters Nancy J. (Urwiler), wife of Henry P. Skoczalek, Philadelphia, and Amy S. (Urwiler), wife of Parker Normann, Fairfax Station, Va.; and stepson David R. husband of Martha Ann (Menger) Urwiler, Houston, Texas.
Other survivors include sisters Barbara B. (Brode) Henry, Sacramento, Calif., and Christy A. (Brode) Frederick, Perkiomenville, Montgomery County, and a brother, Jeffrey R., husband of Eileen (Reinhard) Brode, Blue Bell, Montgomery County.
"Weezer," as Leslie was affectionately called by her grandson, Miles R. Lyons, and stepgrandchildren, Katherine J. Skoczalek, Jonathan P. Skoczalek, Sarah J. Skoczalek, Jacob P. Normann, Adelaide Y. Normann, Mary Beth Urwiler and Margaret E. Urwiler, will be greatly missed by all.
Services were held at Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton. Inurnment was private.
