Son of William Charles Brockmiller (1891-1960) and Alice M Williams (1896-1983).

Obit: Charles A. Brockmiller, 77, formerly of Chippewa Township, passed away Monday, April 10, 2006, in the Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople.

Born June 27, 1928, in Farmington, Mo., a son of the late William C. and Alice M. (Williams) Brockmiller, he was a graduate of Monaca High School and Penn State University and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the St. Joe Lead Co., Potter Township, and retired in 1986 with 40 years of service as a very accomplished chemical engineer. Charles designed and patented various water treatment processes for use in the United States and Japan. Upon his retirement, he then traveled the world and took beautiful pictures of the places he visited. He was very interested in genealogy. He spent many days traveling in his motor home through many states gathering information on his ancestry.

Surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eleanor M. Kimbrell, Rome, Ga., and Alice Joyce and William Haney, Chippewa Township; a nephew, Kenneth L. Kimbrell, Rome, Ga.; three nieces, Susan DiSilvestro, Coral Springs, Fla.; Kristen L. Massa, Franklin Park, and Jayne H. Watterson, Darlington, and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Charles was kind and generous and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in the CAMPBELL'S CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME, 2618 Darlington Road, www.campbellfuneral homes. com, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Mark A. Groves, of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.

Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to McGuire Memorial Home, 2119 Mercer Road, New Brighton, Pa. 15066.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff on Smail-3 Unit at Passavant Retirement Center.
