Mother Flossie M. Anderson was born July 27, 1924 in Maude, Alabama, the daughter of Will and Susie Brock. Mother Anderson was a resident of Grand Blanc, Michigan. She attended Burnt Mills and Corinth Schools in Tishomingo, Mississippi. Mother Anderson was a former member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the Missionary Society and Ebenezer C.K. Traveler's Group. The most important thing in her life was God first and then her children and grandchildren; there was nothing she wouldn't do for her family. At age 72, she took in and raised two nieces and a nephew after their mother passed away. Mother Anderson loved her gardens; including flowers which were her favorite. She had at least 2 to 3 gardens every year until she became ill. Mother Anderson loved the spring and summer seasons; which allowed her to be outdoors. Flossie also loved flea markets and garage sales; she was always buying things and had a house full of antiques and what knots. Mother Anderson was always willing to help others whenever she could; to know her was to love her.
