Thelma Lee Ivy Brock died peacefully, with family at her side, on Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born in Birmingham, AL, on January 28, 1922, and moved to Atlanta as a young child, graduating from Fulton High at age 16.
She married William ("Charlie") Brock in 1941, and they had four children: Linda Jean, William Jr. (Bill), Carol, and Judy. Linda Jean died at three days, and Bill died in 2002. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and is still remembered fondly by her children's friends.

Thelma thoroughly enjoyed her years of working in sales at Rich's Greenbriar, and she maintained her friendships from those years, even in retirement. She was a founding member of Headland Heights Baptist Church in East Point, and on its closing she moved to Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church and later to Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. She loved gardening, sewing, and cooking.

Thelma is survived by her daughters Carol Brock Magill and Judy Brock (Ron) Ramsey; her sister Mary Jo Blakesley; six grandchildren (Kirstie Brock (and Edward Shepherd), Jodie (Scott) Cunnington, Brock (Bree Garvin) Cline, Jenny Magill, Connor Magill, and Chris Magill); and two great-grandchildren (Martha Lee and Oscar Shepherd), as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William C. Brock; son William C. Brock, Jr.; daughter Linda Jean Brock; sister Nora King and brothers William, Walter (Jack), and Eugene Ivy; and parents Walter and Thelma Ivy.
