W. A. Carl, returned Sunday night from Orrick, Missouri, where he was called by a telegram from his sister, Mrs. Joe Broadhurst, stating that her husband was at the point of death. Mr. Carl left Saturday morning but found his brother-in-law dead when he arrived, having expired at 8:00 o’clock Saturday morning. The funeral was held Sunday morning and the remains were laid to rest at noon. J. M. Broadhurst, of Milford, a brother of the deceased, who was also present at the funeral, did not return with Mr. Carl and will remain a few days. The father of the deceased entered the land where Milford is, from the United States before the war.
