Cora Bush was born in 1875, to Mr. and Mrs. William Bush, in Washington County. About 35 years ago she was married to James A. Briscoe. They lived on a farm near Mitchell for a few years later coming here to conduct a south side grocery store.
A few weeks ago, this store was included in a deal by which the well known Turley Burton farm was acquired, and on March 2, Mr. and Mrs. Briscoe moved to that place to make their home. About one week ago, Mrs. Briscoe became ill and a fatal case of pneumonia developed. Mrs. Briscoe was a member of the Mitchell Christian Church here.
Survivors are the husband, three sons, Ora, Fred and Harold all of Mitchell, two brothers, Clint Bush of Mitchell and Milton Bush of Vallonia and several grandchildren.
