Edith Brinson Anderson - Alexander - Edith Brinson Anderson, 85, died July 11, 2006 at her residence in Alexander after a long illness. The Screven County native worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Sylvania for 44 years until she retired in 1995, at which time she was serving as vice-president. She was also a member of Sylvania First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles R. Anderson, her parents: Nan "Nannie" Thompson and Luther J. Brinson and brother, Jessie Brinson. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Roland Oglesby of Alexander; two grandchildren, Jennifer L. Cook of Alexander and Dustin K. Dailey of Covington, KY; great-grandson, Jay Cook of Alexander; sister and brother -in-law, Jeanette and Donnie Sheppard of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Thursday, July 13, 2006, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 14, 2006, at Sylvania First Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Norris and Rev. Clarence Cannon officiating. Interment will be at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are nephews: Don Sheppard, Stan Sheppard, Tommy Sheppard, Jim Sheppard, Donald Sheppard III, Richard Sheppard, Clint Sheppard, Samuel Sheppard and Geoffrey Williams.
