Ginger Roman-Rodriguez

Age 64, of Sutherlin, Oregon, passed away on Saturday February 2, 2013. Ginger was born January 25, 1949 in Lindsey, OK to Melba and Lee Preston Brinkley. Ginger moved to Oregon as a small child and attended Sutherlin High School. Following High School, she married Ronald K. Crow and had two children that were born at Douglas and Mercy hospitals in Roseburg, OR. She worked throughout Douglas County in several different occupations; she'll be remembered mostly as a care provider for the terminally ill and the elderly. The fulfillment she got from working paled to the profession she liked best: being a wife, mother, and
grandmother; that is what brought her the most satisfaction. In 2004, she married Salome Rodriguez, and became very active in her church. Ginger enjoyed meeting with her women's group and taking part in church functions. Over the past 13-years, Ginger did a great deal of traveling to attend the National Rifle Association's annual convention. During those trips, she enjoyed sightseeing and tasting the local cuisine. In addition to traveling for the NRA conventions, she loved touring and experiencing new things with the Roseburg YMCA and her church. Ginger
was an easy person to talk to and she made numerous friends throughout her life. She had a special rapport with her many nephews, regardless of their age; they all had a special place in their heart for her. The loss of Ginger will undoubtedly be felt by her siblings, nephews, great-nephews, nieces, great-nieces, and many others. But the loss will leave a big void in the lives of her husband, Salome Rodriguez; daughter, Michelle Victoria Moran; granddaughter, Monet Moran, and son, Ronn Crow.Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Melba Dunn and Lee
Brinkley; a niece, Angela Haaby; a nephew, David Mann; her life-long friend Shannon Carroll; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The memorial services will be held Saturday February 9 at 2:00 P.M. at the Family Church in Sutherlin.
