Betty Mae Briley was born on November 20, 1937 in Shelbyville, Indiana the daughter of Perry W. and Ethel Mae (Brown) Briley. She had such a short life before going to Heaven- she passed away on May 26, 1938 at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana with complications of pneumonia. Betty Mae had three siblings: an older brother- Karl Norman Briley (b. 02/27/1934 d. 05/16/2006) a sister: Janet Carol (Briley) Sink (b. 07/24/1939 d. 01/22/2024) and an older brother who went before her: Richard Perry Briley (b. 06/27/1952 d. 10/26/1932)
Betty Mae was laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville in the same family plot where her relatives can now be found: Her parents Perry and Ethel, grandparents Alonzo and Anna Brown, brother Richard, Aunt Esta Wicker, cousin Charles Wicker and nephew Scott Sartin.
