Andrew G. "Andy" Bright, 80, of Hollis ,died at his home Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004. Andy was born April 23, 1924, in Hollis to James Allen and Alice Lee (Davis) Bright. He married June Allen on Feb. 5, 1945, in Dalhart, Texas. Andy served in the South Pacific in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at the Kraft Company in Hollis before joining the Army and after the war, he worked at a bakery in Hollis for two years before moving his wife and son to Eugene, Ore. Andy worked in the dairy industry during the time they lived in Eugene. In 1960 Andy moved his wife and three children to Southern California to take care of his brother's family and decided to stay and operate his own business of independent retail milk distributor for over 30 years. He and June decided to retire in Hollis and bought their home in 1989. Andy loved working in his garden beside his house.

Andy is survived by his three children, two sons, Allen Bright and wife Hae of Garden Grove, Calif. and James Bright and wife, Cindy of Fort Worth, Texas; and a daughter, Sue Anna Vint of Columbus, Ind.; six grandchildren, Rebecca Bright of Yorba Linda, Calif., Aaron Bright of Anaheim Hills, Calif., John Fredericksen of Indianapolis, Katherine Weil of Franklin, Ind., Jaime Bright and J.T. Bright, both of Fort Worth, Texas; and one brother, Coy Overall and wife Helen of Lawton.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife June Bright on May 2, 2004; three brothers, James Bright, Roy Overall and Bob Overall; and four sisters, Jewel Forsyther, May Hill, Geneva Yates and Joni Elmore.
