Edward R. Briggs, late of Company F, 1st Oregon cavalry, and a native of Ohio, passed away at the west hospital abut midnight last evening. Mr. Briggs was admitted to membership at Burkett on April 29, 1905 (or 1915). A nephew was at his bedside when death came. The remains will be interred in the Home cemetery. Funeral services wee conducted this afternoon, Rev. Dungan officiating.
