ANNA BREY (d. 1979)
Mrs. John (Anna) Brey, 87, of Menchalville, Route 2, Cato, died Monday afternoon at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:45 a.m. Thursday in Saur Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Alfred E. Schneider will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brey, nee Anna Gerl, was born May 15, 1892, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Placka Gerl. She was married to John Brey Oct. 14, 1924, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, then farmed in the Town of Franklin for 40 years. They moved to their present home in Menchalville 14 years ago.
Surviving is her husband, John. Two brothers, Frank and Charles Gerl, preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday until the time of service. A wake service will be 8 p.m. Wednesday by Msgr. Schneider.
