Mrs. Evelyn Brewer Harris, 91, died Monday morning (February 12, 2007) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross where she was a homemaker and co-owner/operator of Harris Market. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel Frank Brewer and Lillie Lowe Brewer. She was the wife of the late Joseph Hugh Harris, Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Hugh Harris, Jr.; a sister, Helen Weaver; and a brother, Edwin "Bubby" Brewer.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Harris of Franklin, NC, Teresa Blandford (husband Jay) of Orlando, FL, and Nancy Bosserman (husband Rick) of Orlando, FL; daughter-in-law, Angela Harris; seven grandchildren, Kim Raulerson (husband Jamie), Amy Walker (husband Buddy), Joseph Hugh Harris III (wife Liz), Jayne Blandford, K. C. Bosserman, Brooke Bosserman and Gabriel Harris; six great grandchildren, Leean Johns, Garrett Poppell, Gunner Anderson, Dannah Jo Exum, Cadi and Josie Harris; a sister, Martha Gogue (husband Jay) of Waycross; a brother-in-law, James Weaver of Dallas, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday (February 16, 2007) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
