Benjamin Edward Brent was born May 26, 1870, the son of J. A. Brent, born November 24, 1845, died January 3, 1929. He died July 1954 in the Trinity Memorial Hospital, Trinity, TX a native of Trinity County, TX, a retired farmer and rancher and he lived the last fifteen years of his life in Lovelady, TX. His survivors included his widow, Mrs. Alice Marie Brent; two sons, James M. Lykins and Roger Lykins; five daughters, Epsie Brent, Vera Brent Wyatt, Mrs. O. L. Beckmon, Mrs. Walter M. Tilley, Sherra Brent; two brothers, Frank and J. B. Brent; three sisters. Mrs. Minnie Ddriskell, Mres. Maude Baker, and Mrs. Eula Click.
