Victor Brenna was one of 7 children of Joseph and Angelina Brenna. He was born in upper Manhattan and raised in the Bronx, New York. During World War II he served in the United States Merchant Marine on fuel tankers traversing the North Atlantic to supply needed fuel to Great Britain. He married Martha Emma Cossa on August 23, 1943 and in 1949 their daughter Victoria was born. After his wartime service, Victor worked as a dress cutter in the Manhattan clothing industry until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and poker player who enjoyed life and his family to the fullest.
