1.) Wayne Brenizer, son of George and Christina Jones Brenizer, was born March 25, 1915, in New Buda Township, Decatur County, Iowa, and died February I. 1982 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, lowa, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 6 days.

He grew up in Decatur County and attended Bonnett Country school, Lamoni High School, and Iowa State College.

He worked in Iowa City where he met Helen Mae Eakes. They were married September 15, 1937, in Washington, Iowa. They farmed in several communities before they purchased their farm near Davis City, Iowa in 1941. Wayne had a love for the land and enjoyed working with his livestock on his farm and was a well-known livestock hauler for the past 20 years.

Wayne was always interested in his family and proud of his children's achievements. He enjoyed each of his grandchildren; four of his grandsons carry his namesake.

Wayne was baptized at the age of 15 years at the Lamoni R.L.D.S. Church.

Preceding him in death was his mother in 1980; and one grandson, Raymond Wayne Webb in 1959.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, of Davis City; 5 children: Thelma Webb and husband Eugene, of Lamoni and their children: Michael Webb and Brenda Jensen; Raymond Brenizer and wife, Nancy, of Leon and their children: Chris, Brent, and Kelley; Sandra Shields and husband, Ronnie, of Eliston, Iowa, and their children: Tisha, Tricia, Russell, and Teena; Eldon Brenizer and wife, Gayle, of Davis City, and their children: Monique, Stefanie, and Eldon Wayne Jr., and Lori Consolver; and Rhonda Brenizer of Mt. Ayr; 2 great-grandchildren: Matthew Webb and Dana Webb; his father, George Brenizer of Davis City; 3 sisters: Lois Booth and husband, Wayne, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mildred Gilbert and husband, Arthur of Des Moines; and Goldie Martin and husband, Vernon, of Davis City; one brother, Cleo Brenizer and wife, Opal, of Des Moines; his mother-in-law, Gertrude Eakes, of Iowa City; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. February 5, 1982, at the Lamoni R.L.D.S. Church in charge of the Slade Funeral Home of Leon, Iowa. Officiating were the Rev. Les Calhoun and Elder Bob Ballantyne. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Lamoni, Iowa.

2.) G. Wayne Brenizer
DAVIS CITY, Iowa — G. Wayne Brenizer, 66, of Davis City, Iowa, a former resident of Iowa City, died Feb. 1 in Des Moines. Services were Feb. 5 in Lamoni.

Mr. Brenizer worked in Iowa City and married Helen Mae Eakes on Sept. 15, 1937, in Washington, Iowa. They moved to Davis City in 1941.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, two sons, 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his father, three sisters, and a brother.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a grandson.
