Funeral rites for Mrs. Byrdie Alerve Brenizer (1890-1948), well known Hastings resident, who passed away Thursday morning at her home, following a lengthy illness, were held Friday afternoon at the Hastings Methodist Church, with Rev. McGarrity, the pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Brenizer had resided at Hastings for the past half century. She had long been a faithful member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, K. R. Brenizer of Hastings; a son, Ray Brenizer; four sisters, Mrs. Kate Rae and Mrs. J. S. Yelvington, both of Jacksonville; Mrs. Julia Williams of New York City, Mrs. C. McDowell of Ft. Myers; one brother, N. M. Williams of Hastings, and two grandchildren. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 10 Sep 1948.)
