Edward P. Brighner,74, who had been residing with his son and daughter in lawm Mr. and Mrs. Wlwood Breighner, Littlestown, died at 9:30 o'clock Sunday evening at the Warner Hospital where he had been a patient for the last 16 days.
Mr. Breighner was a son of the late Isadore and Mandella (Miller) Breighner. A former blacksmith, cigarmaker and carpenter, he worked last for the Littlestown Hardware and Foundry at Llittlestown.
His wife the formerMary Collins died in October. 1949.
Surviving are nine children; Herman L., Hollywood, Fla.; Glenn A., Littlestown; Mrs. Markwood Frock, Hanover; Stanley G., Gettysburg; Mrs. David Martin, Hanover; Fred N., Gettysburg; Mrs. Charles Sentz, Littlestown; Mrs. Ralph Bowers Jr., Hanover and Elwood G. Breighner, Littlestown. There are 17 grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister also survive. They are Albert G., Littlestown; Peter H., Hanover and Mrs. Carrie Meckley, Hanover.
Funeral services Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the J.W. Little and Sons Funeral Home, Littlestown, with the Rev. Dr. J.M. Myers, Gettysburg, officiating. Interment in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery at Two Taverns.
