Born May 14, 1941, in Gettysburg, a son of the late Charles and Margaret Wolf Breighner, he was employed by Carettie Inc. of Camp Hill as a brick mason for 15 years.
He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Arendtsville, International Union of Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers, and Brick Layers and Allied Craftsmen of Harrisburg Local 5.
Gary is survived by his wife, the former Judy M. Cutshall, to whom he was married for 38 years; a daughter, Kelly E. Breighner of Mechanicsburg; a son, Scott C. Breighner of Aspers; two sisters, Geraldine Guise and Janet Harrold, both of York; a brother, John of York Springs; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Darcy B. Otis will officiate at services. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville.
Gary wore #44 for Biglerville High School's football team. Received Honorable Mention in the Lower Susquehanna Football Conference Team.
Gary was voted "Best Dressed" fellow in his senior yearbook.
