Uncle Burrell, as he was familiarly known by all, had been confined to his bed for several weeks, and his serious illness coupled with his advanced age made it manifest that the end was near. He was a member of the Baptist church over twenty-five years, and when he realized that he must go, he appeared willing to bid farewell to this vain world. He had several sons and daughters and a host of relatives are left to mourn his death. The funeral services were held held at the Baptist church on Monday evening and the remains were interred in the town cemetery immediately afterwards.
